Resetting the service indicator

Featured Replies

My car has a Q16 code so left the factory with variable servicing.  At just over 13,000 km, I'm getting a warning that an oil service is due in 1800km so I'm guessing that my supplying dealer changed it to fixed servicing.  There doesn't appear to be any way of resetting the warning via the menus as was possible on the Mk2 Superb.  Does anyone know of any way of resetting it without using VCDS or do I have to go to the dealer?

Dealer or VCDS I'm afraid.

Dealer or VCDS I'm afraid.

Thanks

If  you have the car on a 3 year pcp, you will find that it is set for an oil change at 15000km, service at 30000km another at 45000km.

I own this one outright. I bought my 2012 Superb from the same dealer but they left it on variable servicing. Looks like they've changed their procedures a bit since then. Not the end of the world but its a bit sneaky to change it without asking.

I told my Dealer to change it back when I spotted the change.
