Tomorrows Job

Featured Replies

Last Thursday out doing some jobs on the garage facia and heard this odd BONG noise really loud? seemed to be out near the car. Went out saw nothing and carried on with the job on the facia, jumped in Friday and as soon as I put lock on the drivers side front spring went TWANG, found out what the odd BONG was yes a broken front drivers spring.

Tomorrows job is a new pair of front springs and a new pair of top mounts.

All sorted pair of new spring and top mounts.

Bump stops & bolts just in case also???

When I did my Fabia suspension I replaced every nut & bolt with new, bump stops, mounts, springs, new Powerflex bushes, Koni FSD dampers, & stripped & panted the wishbones & rear beam.....

OCD....OCD....

I could have stripped the rear beam on my wife's old 2002 Polo every other year - quite satisfying - like picking a scab off!

New bolts but same bump stops and gaiter, drives so much nicer which is a bonus, the broken spring shed the top coil.
