When you doubled the mdf spacers, did the door panel fit back on ok?

Yes it was tight but it does fit.

Attempted to fit this morning but the speakers were to deep and hit the window bar, will need to order deeper spacers, 36mm deep similar to what theezenutz used would do the job.

Regarding the sound deadening..... I'd smother the rear end (boot, wheel arches etc) in panel deadening stuff like dynamat, then line the entire area with a "felt" or similar but waterproof.

The front end is more problematic as ideally, the bulkhead needs deadening and a thick lining to reduce drivetrain noise.

Sub or subs under the seat(s) is probably a good idea unless someone's come up with an arm-rest sub. :)
