Need to know your engine code, a three letter code that will appear on your V5 document, and on the car data sticker in the service book and/or boot floor. I think yours will start with A.

This page here should help you identify what you need by VAG group part number (one of the item 12s listed), according to which engine you have (codes in 'Model data' on right hand side).

From Wikipedia's knowledge of  a 2.0 Mk1 Octy from 1999 your engine code should be APK or AQY, the former appears to use only one lambda sensor, the latter two, so if yours is an AQY, you need to know whether it's the pre-cat or post-cat one that you want.

Once you have the VAG group part number, hopefully ECP can manage to cross reference to something they stock. Can be worth putting the VAG part number into ebay, with the word 'genuine', just in case someone's selling a new-old-stock or unwanted new one at a bargain price.
