Hi all

I currently drive a Legacy Spec B, but have moved house to near Chepstow and think I might need a diesel now! The thirst...

Considering an Octavia Scout, as 4wd is sometimes useful where we now live. Here to find out more about these, especially whether they have DPF problems - I've only had petrol cars before. Also wondering about the differences between 140bhp manual Scout and 170bhp DSG auto.

Neigbour with a Fabia Mk4 called me recently, his drivers door and the rear (right) passenger doors were partly open with what looked like a stainless steel rod jamming the two doors in their partly open/closed positions, to make a long story short, it was the door umbrella that apparently had shot out somehow or other and jammed the two doors, he had partially opened the back door to let his dog out I think and had let his own door partially open, or something like that. Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks
