Auto headlight switch

Featured Replies

I have a Octavia 1.4tsi dsg elegance with rain sensor, maxi-dot, electric folding mirrors with puddle lights but I would like to fit a auto light switch. Is it a case of just changing the switch or do I need to do something else? Also I would like to fit LED bulbs, but do they cause problem?

Switch is easy to swap out , but unless you have a light sensor in your windsreen as well it wont work

As you already have the rain sensor then that's ok.

What you may need to do is fit an extra wire to the switch.

If you pull your switch out and check the connector you'll know if you need this wire or not. If all wires/pins are occupied in the connector then you don't need it.

You also then need coding.

Will this switch work for coming home / leaving home as well as auto head lights and tunnel?

Yes, that's just down to coding not the switch.
