Can anyone tell me if the fan control wheels on the vents should illuminate with the rest of the dash, dials and switches.

I'm pretty sure they don't. You can probably hack it in with some LEDs and a dremel....

Mine don't on my VRS.

No. But the fan speed dial will light up to indicate speed, if you turn it manually.

It doesn't do when on auto, but it can coded to always show the fan speed with vcds.

The 3 control knobs themselves do not light up but the switches inside the outer two do as do the blue and red indicators on the outer two heat control knobs and the fan speed indicator does even in Auto if you VCDS it - I have.

I have to steal part of the theme...but it's about same switch

When i turn off or on rear windscreen heater i hear "click" somewhere under the steering wheel. Is it normal?

Normal or not I don't know but believe I have heard this on occasions - probably the relay/timer coming in.

The click is the relay switching in the fuse box. Most high drain items have a relay.
