I was surprised.....

Featured Replies

The other day I was passing the Stirling dealership on my way to GLA and dropped in to cadge a coffee. I was surprised to learn that the 170 is no longer available, maybe I live a bit off the grid up here, but why did Skoda drop this engine. I guess mine's may become desirable soon !

Couldn't meet the Euro6 regulations, so now you have a 150PS engine instead. More economical and only a little slower. The engine must be a little more tweakable as a stage 1 remap gets it more or less to the same power/torque as the stage 1 on the 170. Oh, and you need to take AdBlue into consideration too.

Maybe we should treat this as a Yeti 170 (adblue-free) appreciation thread
