I'm sure anything is possible with money. Sorry about the initial vague question, but what I was after is;

A friend has an Octavia on a 55 plate, this being the octy I,and he says it has the new 2.0 FSI engine. I have looked under the bonnet and it looks the same as mine. I have 1.8. Does the the new motor look any different under the bonnet. There was one difference, the roof lining is a dark colour where as mine is the same coluor as the carpets. Apart from that the car is identical. Any ideas?

I have an idea... The salesman who sold him the car was full of bull****, and your mate believed him :rofl:

The FSi has FSi written on top of the plastic cover on the inlet manifold.

as nobody in their right mind would swap a 1.8t for the new fsi lump its highly doubtful.
