Another leaving the Citigo fold.

Featured Replies

Well three years and 18k miles and its time for the Citigo to go.

After the arrival of the new car earlier in the week, ive set the ball rolling on VT'ing the Citigo Sport.

The car has been pretty reliable, apart from a couple of occasions where its been reluctant to start (normally a few days after the engine was run for a few seconds to shunt the car up/down my drive)

Avg calculated fuel economy over the 18k miles has been 48.2mpg which was mainly propped up by many trips round the M60 in 50mph roadworks - normal use mpg was closer to 40-43mpg and around 330miles to a tank probably because of the Serpens 16" wheels.

Costs over 3 years have been:

£2080 - Fuel.

£55 - binding rear brake drums (not covered as part of the free servicing!!)

£87 - Replacement tyre after pothole destroyed one.

£21 - better headlight/drl bulbs

£40 - Tax

All in all its made for some cheap motoring after being an impulse buy although it has made me miss certain modern-car features.. Not having Heated mirrors for example, or not having string to lift the parcel shelf.. lost count how many times i left the shelf up after being in the boot :D

But - onwards and upwards to something with 5 times more power
