Passanger window reglulator

Featured Replies

Hi All,

How easy is it to swap the regulator out on front passenger window p[lease?

I've ordered the part, just waiting for it to arrive.

Many thanks indeed

John

Not easy for the first time. Please make sure that you have got rivets for panel and speaker (panel could be bolted on some models). There is a plastic plate to connect panel do door lock. Can't understand what it's for.. 1J4839767B

Just rivets? or do I need to buy the whole thing?

That plastic bracket is used for assembly at the factory. It holds the central locking unit to the ancillaries carrier and they just bolt up the carrier complete with locking unit attached and then put the screws in the edge of the door to hold the lock unit as the bracket holds it in alignment. It can be thrown away as it is not needed for DIY assembly where the locking unit is normally fitted before the ancillaries carrier. Just tape up the holes in the carrier where the plastic rivets were.
