Ventilation Fan Speed Indication

Featured Replies

The auto fan speed is set on high.I have an SE Combi. Is there any way to show the fan speed lights in auto ? I can not see an option on the dash or the manual. My old FL Octavia did that and it was a useful reminder that the blower speed could be turned up even more at times .

It's possible with VCDS, check here.

This feature is so useful and obvious I cannot imagine it was taken away (in comparison with e.g. Superb II). I wish I could enable it, but I have no VCDS nor access to someone with it :/

My MK2 FL had this and I can't say I've really missed or noticed that it's gone. I leave my climate control in auto, set to a particular temperature. If I'm cold, temp is set higher and if I'm hot, temp is set lower. Why would I care what the fan speed is when I'm letting it manage itself for me?

Well , for me, it gave a visual indication the fan speed is going up and down automatically. If I'm feeling cold I would like to know is it me or is  the car not warming up.
