Reversing light out

Featured Replies

I brought a bulb for the left reverse light went to fit but the bulb wasn't out it just the warning on the dash

Then I checked the other side that was fine

Has this happened to anyone else I'm getting it plugged in on Saturday to clear the codes

Left reverse is still not working and bulb is OK help lol

The Superb has finicky rear lights at the best of times, however the vast majority of faults can be traced back to the weak wiring from the boot lid to the body.

Assuming of course your car is the twindoor (hatch and saloon) and not an estate.

Any other strange faults? Do both rear fogs work?

As above, the Superb also has a knack of predicting bulb faults..... ;o) it must sense that the resistance is lowering (bulb about to fail). I've had two 'false' warnings in our car, shortly followed by those bulbs blowing.

All fixed know

It was the twin door broken wires

I took it all apart and all the wires were broken or with big cuts in

the worse part of soldering it the wires were all the same colour 4 hours in total

Reverse lights work and boot fully closes and opens as should

All thanks to this forum

Cheers guys
