I need to change the avatar. Drove a few S8s and decided it wasn't going to be the car for me. A most impressive vehicle, but just a bit too big and too much of a cruiser for my liking. Perhaps I'll get the V10 one in 5-6 years time :D

how fast do they feel? never driven one myself

You said you were worried about 6 yr old cars;) I reckon a 6 year old S4 will be rock solid with no creaks or rattles and worth about the same price when you came to sell on again

Very fast. It felt about as fast as my Jabba'd Octavia did, but I know it was considerably quicker. The smoothness of the auto box is extremely deceptive. It also handles a lot better than you might expect. However, it really feels its size when you're maneouvering around crowded streets or trying to park it.

I wouldn't be concerned about buying a 5-6 year old S8, because I know they'll handle it. The S4 I'm less convinced about. Heck, you can get 2-3 year old S8s for under 18K now, and that's the fully-loaded "final edition" with 20" wheels, Playstation for your passengers, etc... It's just not the car for me at this time in my life. Still, I'd feel proper gangsta with one in black, with those 20" wheels and max-legal tints :pimp:

Would be the S4 from that list for me as well - always a car I've liked. And I was genuinely surprised to find this on 'Trader. Did a national search for S4s under 60k miles...

Might be just too cheap, but hey, worth a shot
