Bye bye vRS and good riddance

Featured Replies

So after 34 months of ownership and 35 weeks of it being off the road during that time, I finally gave it the final farewell with a 2 fingered salute when it was collected earlier on today.  But on the plus side I also picked up its replacement today

Like everything with my car even just giving it back today turned into a complete ball ache but I can now breathe a sigh of relief as it's now not my problem.  If you see this car for sale please please DO NOT buy it as it's still not fixed hence why it's gone back to be auctioned off.

I've still kept to VAG so I now run a Tiguan R-line

Well there's a coincidence - at least for a short time! :o

Oh yeah, sure I'm familiar with the problems you had with the car so no need to say anything about that or link to such a topic.

Thanks.

its a real shame when you end up with a Lemon.... i had a similar issue many years ago with a Vectra you name it and it went wrong..... hopefully you have better luck with your new wheels

Don't worry I wasn't going to, more to warn off any potential buyer to save them some grief as I've previously been asked for vehicle details

Seems it passed its first MOT with an advisory,

What was wrong with it?

What was wrong with it?

uneven wear on one side of the tyres

An MOT doesn't mean nothing as it doesn't involve testing what I had wrong with the vehicle.......

Touch wood but the only lemon I ever got was a company car, back in the 70's A Ford Escort estate over filled with oil from the factory. It had pistons and rings, valves in week one. It then dumped it's oil and needed new crankshaft and bearing shells. I hated that car, but thankfully the fleet was replaced every year.
