Interior Lighting

Featured Replies

The "cat vision" is just the two red leds that "glow" - supposed to give the effect of moonlight according to brochure. Pretty feeble moon. They are on my superb without the sunroof and really it is one of the least impressive toys on the car - in fact about as useful as a chocolate fireguard IMHO.

All of the other interior lighting' date=' including the switch illumination (which is very useful) is either green, or in the case of interior lights themsleves, white.[/quote']

I think that the 'Catvision' is a great piece of kit and 'Ambient' interior lighting seperates the better cars from the worse ones IMO.

Had a Audi A6 come over from Germany not so long ago as a demo car to show us how the germans were thinking of 'ambient' interior lighting for the future and you would not believe some of the toys they had fitted to this A6!! Absolutely awesome!!

They had red lighting for the door pockets and when you put your hand in the pocket it turned white so you could see what was in the pocket!! Also it had 'rainfall' lighting on the top of all the doors which when switched on brightened up the side of the cabin making it appear bigger inside. They had also fitted a complete display, where the airbag was in the passenger dashboard, that illuminated showing various functions when you activated things such as heated seats or foglamps, etc. The best thing about that was that in daylight the dashboard appeared normal and you couldn't see anything but the dash!!
