I don't think it's an oil leak as it looks like someone has resealed the area

That is what i meant 'resealed', because the casing was split and needs resealed.

Ah right, OK thanks, I'll see if there are others who've had the same

​It seems the sealant they use when closing back the camshaft chain covers (the black plastic part on the left of the block, is the top part of it). I had my chain replaced 2 years ago and a bit also oozed out, although not as much (I guess the mechanic who did it in mine was a bit neater ). [i have the same CBZ engine as you].
