what a giant bunch of poo that is then. Subscribe and no software on the site. Must be some pretty thick people running that website. i just assumed that once you register it would take you to a download page.

by the way, this is what it says in the faq

The following applications will be installed along with Sky by broadband

- Microsoft.net Framework 1.1

- Flash Player 7

- Kontiki v51102.0 (KService/KHost)

I just did a search and another site says this

The company has a comprehensive FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) area running already for Sky by broadband, so, logically, the launch isn't far off.

We'll keep you updated on availability but the company is accepting registrations now. Those who sign up will receive emails when the service comes available. At that point, they'll need to revisit the site and have ready their Sky digital viewing card number.

looks like it might not be fully up and running yet

Yep, they are doing work, BT are likely to offer TV via broadband soon as well. Hence NTL merging with telewest and virgin mobile....

Also heard today that the iminent increase in tv license, (also known as a complete joke dont remember taking a test to own a tv) will help fund broadband tv from bbc so you can watch the show on the interent at the same time that its aired on tv. So look forward to a load of crap and possibly one program a week you might actually want to watch

Don't worry Eastenders is not 7 days a week yet :)

......tv license, (also known as a complete joke dont remember taking a test to own a tv)......

You don't have to take a test to get a licence. From Princeton's WordNet:

licence: a legal document giving official permission to do something

as in:

fishing licence - wouldn't be many of those if you had to take a test

road fund licence -

and dog licence (and that doesn't mean you get official permission to do a dog :D )

I reckon its about time we didnt have this tv license. why should it be illegal not to give the bbc loads of cash? I for one dont get my moneys worth. they wont even compromise either. I asked if I could have a black and white license and promised to only watch the bbc channels in black and white, but they wouldnt have none of it. In this day and age you should be able to opt out and have access taken away for their tripe. rant over.

I still think that the best programmes are on the BBC. Whenever it's a biggy, or a bit daringm it's always on the Beeb.

Examples, Michael Palin Travel programmes

Any David Attenborough stuff

Have i got news for you (not afraid to attack politicians unlike various yellowbelly commercial stations who NEVER take a risk because they might offend advertisers)

Also, BBC news is the station of choice whenever there's a war, they are the ONLY organisation who don't kowtow to the governement.
