150 TDi Oil temperature

As a comparison - i tracked my oil temperature this morning on the way in. Approx 40 miles with 80% on motorway at speed.

 

The temperature barely moved from 106c but did peak at 114c whilst pushing on a bit, but that peak came after I'd slowed down.

That's very helpful. Interestingly I did a 50 mile journey today, 90% motorway, and mine was around 106/7c peaking at 114c, so very similar and no sign of the consistent high temperature I have seen in the past.

When my car was new it went into my dealer for something completely different and they told me that there were some ventilation slots near the radiator that open and close according to temperature and these had stuck in my car and they had rectified the problem.

So it could be that these are still sticking from time to time but I am only guessing.
