Lowering (10-15mm), using Passat B5 perches.

Featured Replies

Has anyone done this on here?  There is a common mod with the B6 Passats where they replace the perch on the shock absorber strut with one from the B5 Passat (Part number: 8D0412103B) and it lowers it by 10-15mm.  As the shocks in the Mk 2 Superb are the same as the B6 Passat has anyone tried this?  I'm only considering this as I have to replace my shocks anyway and would rather the front sit ever so slightly lower but I don't want the car sitting an inch or two lower as it will bottom out on the roads I have to travel.

I wonder if thats how they lower the Greenline by 15mm.

You would need someone to chip in with access to etka to check part numbers to see the diference

Looking online it doesnt look like the spring pan can be replaced :S

I personally wouldn't want one any lower than a Greenline anyway as mine grounds out several times a year in standard GL trim.

Pesmog are you sure you're actually grounding the car as mine just catches the bottom of the little front mud flap things sometimes. It does sound worse that it is when you do it mind you.
