Depreciation.....ouch!

Featured Replies

All the more reason to buy something like a Brand New Dacia Sandaro, with dealer discount £5550 on the road with a 5 year warranty. ( as my Son did )

In 3 years it must be worth £2K.

Had to double check the username on the post... thought it was our local customs and international logistics expert :notme:

Depending on what you want from a car I agree, if it’s ‘just’ transport from A - B then it’s hard to argue against that logic.

However as someone who regularly drives low spec courtesy cars, yes they all do the job they all get to 70 mph and are warm and reliable, I certainly wouldn’t want to OWN one though.

Totally agree with you Gizmo.  As I posted in a different thread the Car lives in London, parked on the road, will never get washed unless the dealer does it when it's serviced. 99% of it's travels are within the M25 and makes a trip north once a year.

What more do you need

After BEXIT the UK Government should give lots of money for DACIA (Renault) to build a very low emission EV in the UK in factories.

That will give employment to lots of people in the UK.

They can give the cars away at Cost Price and force many others off the road if they have Gas Guzzling Internal Combustion Engines.

That might have other Manufacturers also making sure they build affordable Low Emission or EV's for the UK Market.

Those old diesels being scrapped can be recycled for materials to build wind turbines.
