Indicator wiring

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Looking for a hand with possibly sourcing a wire. Is there a permanent +12V wire that is only active when you indicate regardless of which side?

Weird request I understand. But necessary for a project.

Cheers

Jerry

Not that I'm aware of.

You can design some electronics that takes feeds from either the indicators or indicator switch and gives you a 12v line. Alternatively, you can tap into the CAN-bus and watch for the 'indicator on' message.

Whats the project you're trying to do?

Easy.  Just tap off each line with a diode/rectifier.

Install after market flashing lights in the front indicator area for an ambulance responder that "auto cancel" and whenever the indicator is switched on.

I thought it might be a canbus job. If need be I'll add the override wire direct to the indicator bulb +12V so it will cancel if the indicator is flashing but may flash inbetween.

Or you could consider a delay off timer fed by indicator feed.
