  1. I'm no expert, but consider uprated anti-roll bars as a first option. Do a search for "whiteline" and see what comes up.
  2. There is no waste of time, just a learning experience for those that don't know!
  3. Are your windows opened and closed by the fob? Assuming it was within range.
  4. He shoots... He scores! That part number is a M10 x 50.
  5. Obviously the bolt and washer are inserted from the side shown in your middle picture. I'd get hold of a standard M10 bolt and see if it fitted the thread as shown in pic1. If it is a M10 then you just need the correct length and grade. You can measure the total depth required easily enough and I'd suggest a 10.9 grade at least.
  6. Looks like a M10 x 50. That's a very wild guess!
  7. Is there a trading standards agency you can contact? They might be interested to hear about the case, especially as he's admitted in a mail to be a trader. That could be used as a lever to get "satisfaction".
  8. I keep a 2l bottle of oil in the car, whenever the car needs topping up I make a line for the new oil level and write the mileage beside it. I seem to be about .5l per 5000 kilometres.
  9. Can you swap the speaker sides over, that will identify if it's a speaker issue.
  10. Does that not say that there are 6 DTC's, rather than give a actual code?
  11. I think the simplest solution would be to try your existing tyres and see how they fit, as fitting costs are only a small part of the overall. 235 40's are 1.2% bigger diameter. My understanding is that with bigger tyres you lose acceleration but gain max speed. I don't think anyone would easily notice 1.2% though!
  12. 225 or 235 are the best fit for an 8j. 215 and 245 are the min/max. My daily driver (not a Skoda) has 7j wheels with 265 tyres!
  13. Overall diameter of tyre is smaller by 1.2% which is negligible. It all depends on which tyre you choose and how important the rim protection is to you. The wider tyre might have some different driving characteristics and there's the insurance aspect to consider.
  14. A 245 35 18 tyre is only 1.2% smaller in diameter. I think that's the closest match you might get if you stick to the 18's.
