Skoda Fabia 1.2Tsi DSG 105 - Remap

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a question regarding remmaping Stage 1. Has anybody done it before in Fabia?

I've done last week and I love it to bits!!!!!! But I'm wondering how safe is it? Garage didn't put it on Dyno (because apparently they've done so many of them) they didn't have to and I was told I will be getting about 140BHP. Although I'm a bit worried about gearbox. I don't know how much NM was before, how much is now and how much it can take.

I will be going back to same garage soon to put it back on dyno, I want to know all the specs!

Could give me your opinion what you think about it or some tips.

Much appreciation

The same 7 Speed DSG is in other VW Group 1.2 & 1.4 TSI's with 140-150 ps from the factory and that is hardly tyre shredding so the gearbox should be just fine if it was before the remap.

Where did you get it done? All the tuners I've looked at are quoting 125bhp (or thereabouts) so I am intrigued that others are going as high as 140.

Not sure why you think it should.

Have you had the Service Campaign work done on your DSG if it qualified for it.

Synthetic Oil changed to mineral and the Software Update. Gets done free.

Maybe try Tesco Momentum 99, 99 ron minimum and winter spec now, as Shell V-Power Nitro + is.

Maybe no difference, and then again you might notice some.

PS

I Take it you have no TC to switch off when the car is on the DYNO and if they 'have done loads of so many 1.2 TSI Stage 1 Updates' they surely know what they are doing.

Maybe they have had some 1.2  TSI DSG's in.

(Maybe take what they say with a pinch of salt, get your DYNO done somewhere else. Just my experience and tuppence worth.)

The 7 speed DSG in your car can handle up to 250nm or torque. So you should be good to go for some time to come without issues I'd have thought. It's unlikely you will be putting out anywhere near 250nm.

They do not have the same software to 110kW & then the 118 - 136kW

My 1.2 tsi was 88hp and after remap is 121hp, in damp conditions can get wheel spin in 3rd. even though it is an elegance I've not got TC or ESP so it's a fun drive.

60 is easily achievable in 2nd

I'm sorry for very late response. My car is making almost 130bhp now! :) What do you think?

Do you guys think it's worth me getting my fabia greenline 1.2tdi remapped 2013 model.

Failing that I'm selling it. Need something with more power. Using it more than I thought around town and not finding it as good as I thought. Lots of hills. Lol
