Heater fan on its way out?

Featured Replies

I did a topic search and couldn't find anything specifically so here goes.

For a while now my vRS heater has only worked on speed 4 (which I believe is a resistor fault?). Ive left it alone as its not a major issue for me, however recently the fan has stopped working altogether. It seems to come on when the engine is started but minutes later you can hear the fan slow down in speed and stop altogether. Every now and then it will come back on briefly only to stop again.

With the weather getting colder and windscreens getting frostier this is now a bigger problem, Im guessing it may be a motor problem rather then a fuse? Can anyone help please?

Replace it. I can't do it for you!

Inspect the pollen filter first, if you don't know when it was last changed.

I checked the pollen filter and there wasn't any debris in there at all. Next step I guess is checking the fuse...
