Ice scraper

Featured Replies

Would it be possible to get one of those green ice scrapers the new Octavias have and install it on the fuel cap of a pre fl mk2? I know the caps may not be identical but perhaps they might be simmilar underneath.

Using an ice scraper is too much like hard work -- far easier to use luke warm water and an old wiper blade..............

Old credit cards (which you do not use any more - obviously) are incredibly good at removing ice.

My concern is not the actual scraping as I already have something - It's just that I would like to have this, like the newer cars do :)

Looking at image online, the MK3 has an interior slot for the ice scraper to sit in. This is missing on the MK2.

You might be able to find a scrapped MK3 fuel flap and glue the holder inside yours or even grab a few magnets to attach an ice scrapper inside :)

Actually, the best thing for clearing ice is a Costco card; you use one of those and you get 20% off instantly! {boom boom boom tish}

But don't you then get frozen water on the road / driveway, Mike, for other people to slip on or drivers to skid on.

Depends where you live / park though, but some people have to consider this. I'm sure you do consider this.
