ecu wiring tool?

Featured Replies

Ok so fitting a new abs lead from sensor to ecu, is the tool to pick out the fixed wires a general tool, not just skoda/ VW, if so can someone point me in the direction. I went to a Auto electrician and he doesn't want to "just" connect the wires to ECU, but he would do the whole job for £105, lol i swear nobody wants to do a job under £100, mechanics and the like.

Nobody knows where/ what tool to use to get the ECU wires in/ out?

I use a general pin removal kit, or a bit of mig wire/paperclip depending what size the pins are, remove the purple sliding clip first that holds the pins in, then gently push the tool up each side of the pin in the holes provided (from non wire end) while pushing the pin or wire gently, then once you have used the tool both sides of the pin tug the wire out with the pin on. it is fiddly especially on the abs unit as there isn't much free play in the loom.
