MAF parts and costs

Featured Replies

Looking at replacing the MAF this weekend, without ETOS?ETKA here at work I cant get the diagrams etc.

I assume that if I call my "local" dealer they'll be able to give me the part number easily for the MAF itself, but do I need any clips etc. at the same time?

Also, is it worth trying one of those car parts warehouses for it? Or should I stick to OEM ? What is the cost likely to be? (collegaue had one for his Range Rover at £200+)

Isn't there a Mercedes Pierburg MAF thats better?

Not sure, Tom. But very interested to hear more! A quick search of these forums for "Mercedes Pierburg" gave just this thread as a result

Thought the Merc MAF was diesel only

MAF is about £60 now, I believe. Why not ring your dealer and ask?

And if you buy it in the housing, it's a 2 minute job to replace.

Oh yeah, my bad :o

Just remember reading all about it on Club TDI.

Yes. My previous advice still applies ... :D

Nick, remind me in future that the word "about" means something different to you ;) Your figure was about too low.
