Citigo drivers front light on when ignition on

Featured Replies

Hello My drivers front light is on when starting and running with the light position at o. It's only at the front. It goes out when using the lights to the next position and works properly when head lights are on .Is this a fault . Thanks Neil

sounds like the DRL (daytime running lights) they should go slightly dimmer if you turn the lights onto the first position

But it's only the front driver's ?

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like you need to fix the passenger side DRL, Bulb, wiring or whatever the fault is.

Dealership seems the ones to contact if you have a warranty or even if not..

Are the DRL on the front only?

That is completely normal and not a fault. The front lights are daytime running lights (DRLs). DRLs are a recent legal requirement for all new cars sold in the EU.

Are the DRL on the front only?

Yes.

Not really a 'Recent Legal Requirement.

Any new Type Approved car from February 2011.

Which a Citigo or even Citigo FL is not.  But Skoda have fitted them. You do not have to have them working though if you do not want, you can disable them.

Or just Switch on Side Lights or Sidelights and Headlights and have lights to front and rear if Daytime has not good Daylight or visibility.
