Is there anyone in the south west/ glasgow region who can retrofit my maxidot? I don't have the pin code and bought vagcomander but im having a bit of bother installing the driver for the cable atm.

Whoops I forgot to say. It's a pre-FL 2006 petrol octavia vrs and I've got clocks from a pre-FL 1.6.

The vag commander is an eBay number as I don't know what else to use and it was cheap enough to try.

That sounds like you've bought a "dodgy" VCDS cable, not from the Forum's approved supplier, so I doubt that you will get much help.

Well who is the forums approved seller? I've googled vag commander and it only ever comes up with "dodgy" versions.

I have made no false claims regarding the software not being legitimate I've also not asked for help with the software, I simply bought it as it was cheap and may have worked.

I was asking to pay someone to do the job for me.

I think most of the guys that do stuff to that extent on here are down south.
