Door handle sticking

Featured Replies

Hi all.

The external handle on the driver's door has started to stick open. I've tried the obvious solution (spraying some thin oil into it) but without major success (yet). Should I persevere with the treatment or refer to the garage. The car is 9 months old so still under guarantee.

Advice please?

Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks as always

Dealer it. You have a warranty.

If you try yourself and you break something then you will have to pay for any replacement parts. If the dealer breaks anything...then you have no worries.

This used to be an issue on the Mk11 Octy too. Unfortunately I can't remember the fix but for sure I'd get it the dealer.

Probably too much paint on some part.

Thanks for this. I have a minor service due in March, if it's still a problem I'll raise the issue then.

OK if that's most convenient for you but I would phone/notify dealer now for record purposes in case it leads to a greater problem over next 3mths plus (too long time for me).
