Pairing phone to car.

Featured Replies

Went to pair my iPhone 5s to my OEM Bluetooth kit and system requests a code be imputted into the phone. I have tried the 0000 code which has always worked for me in the past with other iPhones when pairing but this time it doesn't work. Have tried 1234 and 1111 etc but nothing is enabling the phone and car to talk to each other. I do have an outstanding update to do on the phone but could there be something else going on that I could try? I'm not technology minded and am at a loss. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I'm sure the code was on the maxidot when I paired mine.

Somewhere in the bt options.

I don't recall it ever asking for it on this or my previous vag car.

I always search for Skoda BT on the phone and never have had to put code in in various Skoda cars.

Thanks guys. When trying to pair it my maxidot comes up with four series of numbers (0000, 1111, 2222, 3333) and so on but it's not clear which, if any, are the right code.

My Dad said that he didn't need a code when pairing his iPhone in his new yeti. Wish my set-up was as straightforward!

what module do you have

Thanks all. Seem to have got it sorted. Transpired the code I needed was the full 16 digits appearing on the maxidot. It was a superb related post on here which gave me the clue to use all the numbers, not just one of the groupings. That appears to have done the trick and the car now recognises the phone and has the phone book installed. Thanks to all who posted.
