Window cleaner washer fluid

Featured Replies

Hi, as per title am looking at any recommendations for window cleaner to mainly clean inside of car windows (will also use it for outside of windows but while they r dirty at least there is some cleaning through window washer). I am not looking for for any which leave any film on which rain will not stick but just some normal cleaner which can just be wiped away to clean.

Also while I am at it, any recommendations for window washer fluid or are they all the dame? Ta

Mr. Muscle glass cleaner (it's glass, the windows are not made from Myrhh or exotic materials). Washer fluid; Lidl's stuff, TuV approved, suitable for fan jets and goes a long way (if you can find any). Otherwise the stuff from TPS is pretty good too.

Warm water with a good splash of white vinegar for the windscreen. Using a decent chamois leather. This will leave a smear free finish that will last for a number of weeks.

There is a dedicated section for car cleaning products here...

Your choice of windscreen washer fluid will also get pulses racing... for the wrong reasons.

The MkII Octavia was renowned for blocking it's rear washer jet and popping off pipes next to electrical components. Skoda UK claimed it was because their own screen wash wasn't being used (some people called BS on this one and simply saw it as an excuse for dealers to roll out when refusing warranty claims).

Just make sure whatever you buy it protects down to a decent temperature and is 'suitable for fan jets'.

This is the expensive genuine Skoda stuff you'll find on the shelves of a main dealer...

This is the stuff the main dealers use 'out the back' in the workshop...

Both are available cheaper when bought in bulk or in the larger 5 litre tubs.

Or just buy the stuff from Lidl or Halfords and forget about it!
