Re naming a phone

Featured Replies

Hi, new to forum & new owner of an early 2016 Yeti Outdoor 2.0Lt 110.  After having my last car for 12 years this has come as a culture/technology shock!!  Wading my way through the handbooks and  this excellent forum has sorted out most queries/problems except a phone question.

There were a few phones installed, Bobs, Freds etc which I deleted.  I have installed my two phones and all works well.  I would like to rename them from  GT s5830i (phones model No.) to ‘my name’ & ‘office’.  Reread the manual, looked at Bolero, phone, setup, profiles but could not find a way to rename them.  MFD shows the name but no way to rename.  Help please.

Welcome

You will need to change the name on the phone itself, then delete the phone from the car and re-pair it.
