Need a new battery... Advice please.

Battery is the original.

A couple of times if I've been sat in the car with the radio on etc the battery has gone flat, and I've had to call out the AA to get started.

Is it just a question of sourcing one and disconnecting it and fitting the new one, or does disconnecting effect other things.

I think Halfords will supply and fit.... Any good do you think

Thanks

Halfords batteries might be OK but they aren't cheap, especially after you've paid them to fit it.

If you aren't confident doing it yourself then source the battery online and take it to a local independent garage, pay them a tenner and they'll fit it in a few minutes.

As in the thread linked above the Varta E44 battery is very good.

Trusted seller, £77 delivered to your door. Plus £10-£20 to have it fitted. All done for less than £100...

Richard,

See below. This place is excellent with good customer service. Delivery next day too.

£4.50 more expensive though, although this can be worth paying if the customer service is top notch.

Thanks peeps.I needed to get something sorted today as we are driving off somewhere in the morning. We have a Halfords just up the road so I went there. There was a choice of three I think they were 69, 79, and 99. The 99 one had a five year quarantine so I had that. £10 to fit. It was like a pit stop at Grand Prix. He had the old one out and the new one fitted in a couple of mins.

I appreciate I could have saved a few quid by shopping around a bit. But I took the line of least resistance today

Thanks again
