Possible to add folding mirrors and front parking sensors ?

Featured Replies

Has per title, is it possible to retrospectively add electric folding mirrors and front parking sensors on a 2014 SE through a dealer? If so, any idea re cost?

It's in warranty and I am useless when it comes to any sort of car diy so wouldn't attempt to do it myself?! Ta

front sensors probably demand a new bumper, so that's four figures. Folding mirrors is likely to be simpler but in a similar area with new parts....

that's my thoughts, anyway. I might be wrong.

Unwilling to do any kind of changes is a distinct disadvantage, in time but at the moment I'd imagine most are in same boat with very little being worthwhile on the above at least.

I will imagine over time it may become more clear what is involved in regard to retrofit, the parts have definitely been mentioned for this on here, I think they were at least £500

( also some mention of code you have to enter as not currently unlockable over VCDS ? Technically meant to be done by dealer on the multimedia platform)

As far as aftermarket goes I did cruise on my Fabia 1 which was well worth it ( ended up costing circa £60 ish for stalk parts which wasn't bad).

But too much black arts in regard to the mk3's until its more clear.

I would be interested in cheaper mods that are more easily attainable, I just don't think its worth rebuilding the car as its easier to just spec up another model purchase with the bits if they are that essential rather than going all Colonel Steve Austin on the car.

bumper will be marked on the underside for the location of the sensors

If you have rear sensors

that is the easy one

The mirrors would probably require new door controllers and mirrors

If you could find a Octavia 3 which had them, you could order the parts at the dealer using the VIN number from that car

Probably very expensive

I am having front sensors fitted with all the trimmings for less than £300. Is this exceptional?

If they are genuine ones and new then you have a good deal
