Featured Replies

p0230.... thing is i have searched the code and none of the symptons really relay to my issue.

basically my car wont fire in the morning but if i bump the car run it. turn it off leave it for a while anything up to 4 hours and go back to it the car will start fine and not throw any fault codes up.... please any advice will be appreciated

VCDS would be much more exact. Happy to scan it for you.

went on there when i found the code but as i said they dont realate to my issue ive checked all them issues

Not an expert but sounds to me like the 2 could be related?

If its not starting and you are getting a fuel pump code being thrown up then not enough fuel could be causing you problems with the starting.

if there is air getting into the system somewhere or running back to the tank when sat then there isn't enough to start the car when you turn the key. After 4 hours the fuel wouldn't have had enough time to run back to the tank so starts ok.

Maybe check leak off pipes or when you try to start it don't start it, but turn the key a few times to see if you can get any more fuel primed to the engine.

Maybe check grounds to pump and check battery life.

It sounds from your description that when the car starts it doesn't throw up a fault code. And then when the car fails to start it throws up a fault with the fuel pump.

I'd be checking the fuel pump and related stuff myself.

Fuel filter blocked maybe or maybe just the pump in the tank is broken.
