Amazon fire stick quad core next gen with alexia

Featured Replies

I'm looking for one of the new fire sticks. Not just the one with voice remote but the latest one which is quad core not duel core and also has alexia. As far as I can see they where released in UK around October 16 but I can't find one anywhere! Even on Amazon! I can find them on American sites but not in the UK? And all the ones I can find with voice remote are the duel core ones. Anyone shed any light on this?

The launch was US in October. Yet to arrive in the UK.

Last I saw price was to be around the same as the current model with voice search

Ah right. Could have sworn it said UK launch was simular time. Any ideas when it will be?

I couldn't get an answer anywhere so went for a normal fire stick in the recent sales.

Someone on hotukdeals suggested they had a lot of the current model to shift first

Is it worth waiting for? Everywhere I went today had sold out of the older ones.

Shops are clearing stock, but Amazon still have loads apparently.

Even with the recent adverts, I keep reading that because you really need amazon prime to get the most from it, and it doesn't stream YouTube etc, it's not as popular as other TV sticks.

It streams everything you want if you google the methods.  There are just a couple of default settings you need to turn off before installing apps of your choice (done using ES file manager is the method I found on the web for non Amazon media players)

I've the box which does 4k and is on offer right now.

Scratch that it's back up to £80

Can't see what a 4 core box would do better. I've never seen the current one struggle with anything at all.

Yes you can put the streaming dodgyness on it.
