Hi All,

 

I've just purchased a hex-net and am trying to get it working. I've tried downloading the software from Ross-Tech but it won't install. The installer works fine but it only seems to install shortcuts which don't lead anywhere.

 

Has anyone had similar issues? how did you get round it?

 

I've been in touch with Andy @ ross-tech but so far no good.

 

Would appreciate any help/suggestions.

Has to be asked, where did you buy the cable from?

After that, it's always installed okay for me, but I guess it could well be an issue on your machine. What did Ross Tech say?

What PC are you trying to install VCDS on?

 

The link on the Ross-Tech website downloads a .exe file http://download.ross-tech.com/VCDS/download/G896/VCDS-Release-16.8.4-Installer.exe, so where are you downloading from?

Not far from you and work in IT so happy to help if you want to pop down to me, never had any issues with VCDS have it running on two different laptops
