Rallye Green Query/Help

Featured Replies

New here so hello to all

Can someone clear up the confusion surrounding if these 2 cars are supposedly the same colour code (Rallye Green Metallic 9585 or F6Z)

I actually want to paint a bike in what I thought was Rallye Green Metallic

Basically I got a glimpse in traffic of what I though was a Fabia wagon and thought the colour was perfect (For a Kawasaki)

The car I saw looked like this

cf133b9c0bf44b0afa8c477d54aafdb3.jpg

But most google searches (and the dealership sample colours) look like this

Im confused....so any help much appreciated

(Posting it in the Octavia section as I assumed most Rallye Green cars are Octavias....Im probably wrong  )

What about using Audi Cactus Green?

Google image that and it also shows mainly results that look nothing like that photo

At least with the Skoda colour ive some chance of finding one on a forecourt to check out

But cheers....never saw an Audi in that colour (and I used to have an RS4 ....but in funeral director black :dull: )

Check out the Audi Green on recent S3 Saloons, there are 2 i see local to me and a rather nice colour.

I might have a pic of one on a drag stip, i will look.

EDIT,

Sorry wrong colour. looks good in the flesh though IMO.

Another colour I never saw

Viper green apparently

Again though...I think the likelihood of being able to find an Audi on a forecourt in that colour to see in the flesh will be tough.

(They aren't as expressive as you Skoda guys  )

Mk3 Octavia vRS in Rally Green.

What colour is this then?

Supposed to be rallye green......is it the lighting that makes it look so different or is it a different variation?

Thanks

Astounded how different the light makes it look

I had a Ralley Green Octavia MK11 and it changes colour. Some days it can look dull and then in sunshine or LED street lighting it is amazingly vibrant.

So yes it does look different in different light.

I've got , or had both . I currently have the rallye Green Octavia Mk3 and a couple of years ago had the S2000 Fabia VRS  in rallye green  and i would say they are identical..If i can find the pictures of the fabia i will post the two together in similar light so you can see.

Simple if someone puts up the Mk2 Fabia paint code for Rallye Green  eg, EDIT *9585*  / P7 / F62......... 2010/11-2014

&

someone checks the paint code in the Octavias spare tyre well.

When I ordered mine, Rally Green colour code was P7P7

Rallye Green looks massively different dependent on light. All of these images are of the same (my) car.

That also would help put the issue to bed

When I ordered mine, Rally Green colour code was P7P7

Dealer here (Dublin) told me that code too but it meant nothing to the paint guys  ...........Their reference for P7P7 is F6Z

Wow...............Extremely different look in different lighting (Or you are extremely rich and have 3 x Octavia wagons :envy: )

Thanks to all above

Just out of interest, have you looked on the Skoda website for the build-your-own car app?

Might be interesting to see how they show the colour.

Its an almost cartoon like image that it shows

If you can trust the SuperSkoda site, P7P7, F6Z and 9585 are the same colour:

Has nobody managed to look at the VIN sticker in the boot of a Rallye Green Octavia? ,

in a Rallye Green Fabia vRS the Paint code is *9585* on the VIN Sticker and the Service Book. (Because they had Service Books.)

Odd for it to mean nothing to any Paint Guys as it is the number used when mixing the paint, at least it is in the UK.

I think different numbers mean different things to different paint guys depending on what brand of paint they mix (Just a guess)

In my case p7p7 didn't bring up anything ,but he knew what F6Z was...................another guy seemed to know what I was talking about when I mentioned 9585

I think I have enough info to pull the trigger on this colour anyway

If anyone could check the code on an Octavia it would be great like you said (It would also confirm theres no special variations between the different models)

I was a Car Sprayer so know a little bit, just 40 years of doing it.

In the first photo it looks like it has the black grill surround, whereas in the third it definitely has a silver one? Also as an aside, what is the standard spec there in terms of grill, wing mirrors and roof rails? Here in Australia you only get black roof rails with black wing mirrors and grill as an option, the standard spec RS has silver/chrome rails and grill surround, with the colour matched wing mirrors.
