Recently purchased another vrs previous owner contacted me to say he recieved bus lane penalty notice on same day we did deal.he seems y o think it was me but I differ to agree.how does this get resolved no times if sale on v5 just date

Does the Paperwork for the Fine State a Time for what time the Ticket was Issued. Is there cctv of the offence, Picture? time stamped? Location.?

 

 

Ask the seller for more information.

He said he would send a copy. But didnt after I said I couldnt help with it and didnt think it was me .so dont know if he will passmy details on now or pay it.no times on v5 or receipts exchanged with times .is it up to him or me to prove who was driving

You will prob be able to ID the driver off the picture if he trys to blame you

You obvs know what time you bought the car?someone that took you to collect it can act as a witness as the time/date/location will be printed on the picture if you can't ID the driver.

Yes I know wat time I got it of him but he wont say wat times on ticket.or location.am I right in thinking if theres no pic of me in driver seat they cant do anything.if I was at fault I would pay gladly but im a careful driver and am sure I was not in bus lane

I'd still ask for a copy of the Letter and the photo. If he has passed on your details they might start adding on more money for late payment.

 

Could you make some inquiries at the place where you pay the fine to see whats happened to it.  They will have a copy of the photo

 

It might come back and bite you at some point,

If he has passed the blame to you they will send you the picture and letter the same as they have sent him,I wouldn't worry about it until it drops on the door mat :)

With communication from seller having broken down and nothing sent to you as of yet, sit back and relax and see if anything lands on your door step. Seller may have sent off V5C with your details on it and not made note of your address etc which would be awkward for them.
