Standard alloys

Recommended Posts

The Elegance runs 18's as standard.

I stuck to 17's but increased the tyre profile for improved pothole resistance. Looks a bit 'Tonka Toy' but I like it!

Standard alloys from another model superb I'll have a look at some 17s

Thanks

That won't be a problem to fit to your Superb. I'm running Laurel 17's on mine with the standard  224/45 R17 tyre size. I was worried that these would suffer on my local crappy roads and I might have to swop for 16's but they have been absolutely fine.

I have 16's for my winter tires and I have to say that the ride is so much nicer.

Not nearly has hard on the bumps and also the steering is way lighter. I sold my 18's and replaced them with 17's for the same reason. Big alloys looks cool. but they sure do suck to drive on.

I think they are 205/60 16 goodyear ultragrip 9's for the winter tires. No idea the specific details on the rims though. They were at the Skoda dealer and they offered my a really good price on them back in October.

I guess they look odd, but I dont really care too much since I am not too keen on the car anyhow ;)

The MKII uses 205/55/16” tyres on:

7” wide (IIRC)

ET45

5x112 PCD

CB 57.1mm

Lots of Skoda’s, VW’s and Audi’s use this size, so finding good OE alloys should not be an issue as lots of owners wish to increase the diameter of the wheels.
