POWER TO RADIO

Featured Replies

I'll be replacing my battery shortly but I don't have the radio code. Is there any way power can be maintained to the battery during the swap please?

I've read elsewhere about connection up a small 9V battery but I'm not keen to do that without advice from this forum in case I wreck the ECU or something.

Thanks.

If it's the factory original radio, you can disconnect power without needing a code, in my experience.

Unless you make the mistake of changing the security setting and then forget that you did it when you disconnect the battery.........

if you have security code activated one of the buttons flashes red when car is locked.
