26 days to go?

Featured Replies

I collected my new Fabia on the 1st March 2016,it's now just short of 7500 miles and the display is telling me it needs an oil change in 26 days which will be 3rd February.

Is it about 3 weeks early? What's your experience of the oil change warning/advice? Do I have to get it done when it says,to keep my service record up to date?

I thought it was 350 days to go

Merry Christmas :p

Welcome to the forum.

The car could be on Variable Servicing and 2 years or 18,500 miles or so,

But at the PDI must of been set at 9,400 miles / 372 days.

?

So was the PDI done early in late January 2016 so right in being due the Fixed Service in 3 weeks time if 372 has passed?

Talk to the Dealership because with Long Life oil in you do not need the Oil / Filter Service but you are as well to and stick with Fixed Servicing.

They messed up not resetting the Servicing Interval and unless your vehicle had done lots of miles before the 1st March it does not matter is not serviced till the end of the first week in March 2017.

I'll be honest,I don't know when the PDI was done?

All I know is that it was ready for pick up on a 16 plate on 1st March with 14 miles on the clock.

First Annual service is not due then for a year, they should have it at 1 year and a week, so maybe set for Transit and never reset.

Tell the Dealership employees on the Service Desk that you do not intend doing an Annual Service 1 month early, and ask if there is any reason why you should.

Ask them to correct things on the System so that there is no question of not having serviced by Schedule / Guidelines.

PS

The 3 year Manufacturers Warranty starts from first registration so that should not be started in early February if a 16 plate.

Spoke to the girl on the service desk this morning and she said it's not a problem and to leave it,as it'll be corrected at the service.
