Just chop the backbox off and get a pipe welded in its place, that's what I have done on my pd105 leon. Cat still in, makes the noise plenty loud enough. Total cost including getting it all welded in stainless pipe etc was £90 (quite a tricky pipe to make in comparison to the fabia one)

I have the full miltec system with decat. I dont get the owl noise and I'm thankful for that lol.

Saying that the backbox on the system is rather huge so I'd start by getting rid off the Standard one which is cheap enough then go from there with expensive decats/exhaust systems.
