Exactly. Keeps Euromaster (and others) in supplying replacement brakes though.

have you never followed people on stretches of motorway with average speed cameras? That's what they do.

Not everyone knows their GATSO from their SPECS and not everyone wears them all the time either.

I have seen a very small percentage of drivers do this, but not that many. Once they get a speeding ticket or two drop on the mat the penny will drop.

It only takes a small percentage on a motorway or the odd one on an A road  and you get the 'accordian effect'. It only takes one to brake sharply and the one behind (automatically at fault) to hit the car in front.
