No rear water jet

Featured Replies

First time in a week or so and definitely not been using car cold etc

Screen jets for rear, noise, but no water ??? Its not freezing today.

Apparently very common for jets to get blocked. Happen to me twice now, 1st left on drive in summer for two weeks whilst on holiday, 2nd

yesterday after long run to Birmingham and back and parked up for three days whilst there. Both times removed hinged cover to expose jets and used suitable pin to clean out, worked both times.

Pulling jets off fixing and soaking in a cleaning solution is another option, all a bit of a pain really.

Even when working correctly they are not particularly affective and are a nightmare trying to get them to spray in the right place after cleaning.

Make sure the pipe hasn't come free and is flooding the rear footwell as was quite common on the mk1?

Mine's like this as well. Rarely use it tbh, so haven't really rushed to sort it. Suspect it's just the jet that's blocked.

Back window usually gets cleaned in a morning when the beaded water falls off the roof onto the back window anyway.

I read the other post, its the end actually. Not enough pressure to push out due to blockage.

Dismantled and its looks like some worms pooed up in there after trying to clear with some vinegar ??? Still doesn't work yet but least I know. Just take the end path off and you will get a nice water feature to confirm its working up to the rear hatch, as is mine.

My MK2 FL did exactly the same. Nothing and when I took the end jet off it fired straight up like a water feature! Ended up just buying a replacement jet end. Will see if I can get a replacement for the MK3 under warranty if I can't clear it myself.
