Start stop turn off

Featured Replies

This could be a topic also for all skoda cars that have start stop, I read manuals for superb, octavia, kodiaq and this is what it says for start stop. I see that it is possible to turn off start stop on octavia mk3 by playing with temperature.

-Conditions for the system function, The following conditions must be met for the system to function correctly. The driver's door is closed. The driver has fastened the seat belt. The driving speed was higher than 4 km.h after the last stop

Can we trick the start stop system by fooling the ECU that seat belt is not fastened even if we regularly fasten it? Can we make the seat belt warning lamp be always turned on or someething like that? Would this kill the start stop?

I'm guessing you've got an auto...

In the manual you just leave it in gear with the clutch down and it won't engage.

If you want to engage it you put in neutral and then take foot off clutch.

It can be coded using vcds, trigger voltage is changed ie ecu thinks battery is low

I was going to get this done with my Superb with dsg but have got into the habit of pressing button each time I start the engine. I then can press the button to switch engine off in stationary traffic/waiting at traffic lights etc
