Just been reading through the items regarding the 1.2 TSI cam chain issues.

 

I've previously asked about this and was told that, as the car is a '14 plate, there would be no issues with it.

 

However, given the attached engine code info, can anyone in the know please confirm that this engine is "not affected" ?

Unless your registered 14 plate has an engine built a couple of years earlier there is no way it should have the 'Made of Chocolate Cam Chain' Issue.

They were pretty much "all" sorted by late 2012 and I would be surprised if the engine would have been sat in a crate all that time given the volume of them that sold.
