headlight indicator & other light issues on my octavia

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm seeking help in trying to find the cause of a problem that has occurred with my Octavia. i noticed that my turn signal/indicators were flashing rapidly. I found my front l & rear lights (indicators not flashing but my mirror light was working. the hazard lights work fine, so no blown globes. front l low beam headlight not working. next day all working fine. next day problem starts again, however this time r front low & high beam not working, number plate l& one reverse light not working. All globes are good.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be at fault?

Regards

Chris

Do you know anyone with VCDS? This can be used to connect to the car and read for fault codes. If there is a problem with any of the electrical modules or controllers then a fault code will be logged which can be used to pinpoint the issue.

This is from cobweb10 as he managed to hit the wrong button and reported it instead. :o

Thanks, I will get a scan done & see what comes up.
